(Indicent Report Template, 2012)
Police are very suspicious
about events leading up the Cindy’s death, saying the one hundred incidents of
harassments were staged by her to receive attention from the local police. This
is believed to be true because reports were made so close together and were
very repetitive. Additionally, after numerous harassment reports were made
police units were stationed outside Cindy James’ house for twenty-four hour
surveillance. They were there for weeks on end, but no reports of harassment
occurred while they were stationed there. However, on the very day they left,
an incident of harassment occurred. For this reason, the police believe that
Cindy was afflicting these actions upon herself. One night, a friend of the
victim came to her house to check on her, and they found her on the floor with
a note knifed through her hand. Cindy didn’t recall much of what happened. When
police investigated this situation, no fingerprints were found on the note,
which was the case for all of the incidents in which the police were called on
accounts of Cindy James. After an amount of time had passed, Cindy’s family
admitted her to a mental hospital to receive treatment, but she was released
after a short amount of time because there seemed to be nothing wrong besides
the fact that people did not believe her story. As it began clear that the
police believed Cindy was fabricating these situations, Cindy told her family
that she was going to attempt to find her attacker herself. On May 25, 1989,
Cindy James went missing; her car was found parked in the neighborhood parking
lot with groceries in it and her identification items, such as her wallet and
driver’s license were found under the car. In addition, blood was found on the
door handle. To the communities’ surprise, Cindy James turned up dead on her
front lawn two weeks later, drugged, strangled, and tied in knots. When the
police had one of their own give an effort to tie himself up in a similar way,
he successfully tied himself up within a few minutes. So, even if Cindy James
drugged herself, she still would have been able to tie herself up prior to the
drugs having effect on her physical abilities.
